Cambridge Summer Music
Classic Buskers
La Danza
The Classic Buskers’ new programme on the theme of dance contains an enormous variety of music played (as usual) on the wrong instruments at unusual speeds, including numbers by Strauss, Rossini, Praetorious and folk dances in odd rhythms from places with peculiar languages. The wrong instruments may well include a brace of Eunuch flutes, a Digital Horn, a micro-ocarina and a waterproof Nose-Flute, in addition to the normal batch of recorders, flutes, buzzy Early things and a small but perfectly formed accordion.
Works featured will include:
- Strauss’s Blue Danube
- Falla’s Fire Dance
- Ravel’s Bolero
- Chopin’s Minute Waltz
- A variety of Tchaikovsky Ballet numbers
- Herold’s Clog dance
- Plus Renaissance Dances, Balkan and Latin American numbers.
