Voce
An evening of exquisite choral music by one of London’s top Chamber Choral ensembles, Voce Chamber Choir. Voce is directed by Suzi Digby, founder and principal of The Voices Foundation and judge of of BBC’s primetime series Last Choir Standing. The concert features a sublime selection of Italian Renaissance and Baroque music, including the stunning Monteverdi Love Madrigals (Book VIII) and pieces from the newly accessed Montague Music Collection of Manuscripts at Boughton House, showcasing Italian composers living in London. PLUS the WORLD PREMIERE of Amore Vittorioso by Mike Brewer, composer and musical director of the National Youth Choir of Great Britain. Celebrating Monteverdi, the work is based on Italian Renaissance texts of Love, War and Triumph, for choir, trumpets and continuo.
